Deborah Brown (Debbie) founded D&B Consulting, Inc. in 1993 to provide executive and leadership coaching and other consulting services to organizations and individuals. She specializes in executive coaching and leadership development, career management, and executive career transitions and outplacement. She is a Master Practitioner of the MBTI personality assessment and a Certified Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach. She also serves as a career consultant and expert witness to family law attorneys.
Debbie began her career as a family therapist in Chicago. In that role she received training in systems theory, skills she utilizes in her work with organizations today. Prior to earning an MBA from Georgia Tech in organizational behavior and human resource management, she spent five years as a financial advisor with Dean Witter, and two years in the corporate headquarters of another investment firm. She earned a BA from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Clinical Social Work Degree from the Jane Addams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Debbie has been active in a variety of professional organizations including the Society of Human Resource Management, the Georgia Coach Association, The Worldwide Employee Benefits Network, the Georgia Career Development Association, the International Coach Federation, the Georgia Psychological Association, and The National Association of Social Workers. Community activities include participation with Community Consulting Teams, comprised of MBA alumni that produce strategic plans for non-profit organizations. She is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Dekalb County Library system.
In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, walking her Westie, reading non-fiction and historical novels, and watching movies.
